1991 Graduate University of Houston College of Optometry; externship at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD specializing in Contact Lenses.

Private Optometric Practice _ Eye Gallery in Solana Beach since 2000.

Extensive experience in Laser Vision Correction Co-Management. Dr. Swikard is currently Clinical Associate at Flowers Laser Institute.

Member San Diego County Optometric Association and American Optometric Association; Member Solana Beach Chamber of Commerce, Lifetime membership Who's Who in Optometry.

Dr. Swikard is happily married to husband, Mike, and has two boys, Trevor and Joshua.

Susan Larson, Patient Coordinator

Susan began working at the Eye Gallery in 2005. She was born in New Haven, Connecticut and attended George Washington University in Washington DC. She enjoys working with patients and clients to help you find a pair of glasses that fit in with your lifestyle.

Mrs. Mayri Erwin, Office Manager

Mayri (mighty) started with the Eye Gallery in March of 2006. She earned her B.A. in Psychology with minors in Chemistry and Biology at Texas A & M, Kingsville in 1990 and has been in the field for 11 years. She had LASIK Surgery in 1999 and became a LASER VISION Consultant. Prior to her surgery which gave her 20/15 vision, she wore the CRT LENSES. You can usually count on her to have a smile on her face and in her voice. Mayri will be able to answer all questions regarding insurance as well. She loves to help patients find that perfect frame for their personal needs and she is well versed in frame adjustments.
